WBNA Coyote Awareness Program

The WBNA Board has seven members, each serving a two year term with assigned place numbers. Even numbered places are elected during even years; odd numbered places in odd years. This year places 1, 3, 5, and 7 are up for re-election. As governed by the WBNA Bylaws, roles vacated prior to the election are filled by appointees and confirmed at the annual election. Place 4 is currently vacant. We are seeking active volunteers for leadership roles and any resident of Wells Branch may join the board.

All Wells Branch residents (both in-district and out-of-district) are invited and encouraged to attend the 2025 general meeting. Your WBNA membership must be current in order to vote in the election or run for office. The membership form is available on page 12 or you may join online at: https://wbna.us/membership/ It’s quick and easy! Please be sure and enter a valid email address.

To recap 2024, the WBNA events were extremely well attended! The entire team, including an army of dedicated volunteers, truly excelled this past year hosting the Easter Egg Hunt, a fantastic 4th Fest auction, a terrific National Night Out, and the annual Pumpkin Patch / Pumpkin Painting in the Park event.  Our group actively participated in numerous WB MUD events: Eco Fair, Trunk or Treat and the Luminary Fest. As a community service group we sponsored two Extreme Clean events, several special civic events and the WBNA Community Calendar. Not forgetting the newsletter distribution—six issues were delivered to nearly 4000 homes and dependent on around forty volunteers to deliver each issue. Everyone worked very hard to give back to the neighborhood, while serving to build a true sense of community.

If you are interested in serving as a board member, please contact us at info@wbna.us   We are always seeking talented people ready to help build the community spirit that makes Wells Branch so very special.

WBNA Meeting: Coyote Awareness Program
Thursday, February 6 | 7:00-8:30pm
WB MUD Community Center | 2106 Klattenhoff

Emery Sadkin, Animal Protection Officer from the Wildlife Division of Austin Animal Center is the keynote speaker for the 2025 General Meeting Community Program. The WBNA is proud to host Emery, a longtime advocate for community education and wildlife awareness.

As a reminder, the transition from winter to spring will bring an increase in coyote activity during the “denning season”. Officer Sadkin will also be glad to field questions and comments regarding the overall eco system and the wildlife population within the Wells Branch park system.

The Coyote Awareness Program will immediately follow the WBNA general election and business meeting. Please watch the WBNA web page (wbna.us) and Facebook page for updates. Additional information on coyotes may be found at: https://wbna.us/neighborhood-watch/coyote-safety/
