You can view the show anywhere along Shoreline Drive, Long Vista Drive, Bratton Lane and even Mills Pond. No parking or spectators will be allowed on Sauls Drive from Bratton Lane to Crissom Drive. Parking will be limited so we encourage residents to walk or bike utilizing the various bike lanes and hike and bike trail.

Come show your spirit, and remember – YOU make Wells Branch GREAT!

*Fireworks display is subject to change or cancellation depending on weather conditions so check our website for updates.

Hey Wonderful Neighbors of WB,

The WBNA has asked me to chair the Fourth Fest Silent Auction this year and, while it’s a huge undertaking, it’s for a great cause! This is the neighborhood association’s ONLY fundraiser and all the money raised goes back into the community for National Night Out, the Easter Egg Hunt, WBNA participation at Halloween and Luminary Fest, safety seminars and educational events.

We are in the final stretch, most of the work has been done,

AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We are seeking donations of merchandise, gift cards/certificates, theme baskets, services…. to auction. In return, you receive exposure for your business at the auction, a special “Thank You” section in the September issue of the WBNA Neighborhood News and on our website and Facebook page with links to your site.

All donations need to be in by June 30th so we can wrap baskets that night, get bid sheets printed, get the companies’ logos and donations printed and framed…etc. So much to do!

If you have items or services to donate, would like to volunteer to help collect items or services or if you are able to volunteer to work a few hours at the auction, please email me directly at marketingimpress@austin.rr.com Thank you in advance for helping to keep Wells Branch GREAT!

Legislative Update from Celia Israel, State Representative, HD-50

Fellow Texans,

I feel like Dorothy – back from the land of Oz . Only my Oz was the Texas House of Representatives. While there weren’t any REAL flying monkeys – there were definitely challenges. I resisted the temptation to drop a house on top of some of those who disagreed with me, and I opted for the more reasonable solution: work across party lines to get stuff done.

ruby slippersThis was my first session as a member of the Texas House. We had 140 days to get as much done as possible. Thanks to my staff who prepared well before and during session, I had 15 hearings, 6 bills passed through the Texas House and 4 bills sent to Governor Abbott.

Since session ended last week, I have already had a couple of visits with constituents and advocates. It felt really nice to be back among people who just want to know ‘what did you all just do?’

Read below to see our summary of what we just did. Thank you for caring about working towards a better Texas. Continue reading Legislative Update from Celia Israel, State Representative, HD-50
