Wells Branch Drop-in Mahjongg Club Did you know there’s a new WB Community Club? Please welcome the WB Drop-In Mahjongg  club. The group just started in January of 2024. So far, we have had a couple of meetings and are very excited to see so much interest. Here are the basics: Group:  WB Drop-in Mahjongg Club Group chair:  Margaret Sufke | mmsufke@gmail.com | 208-869-5224(Text) Club dates:  1^st and 3^rd Wednesday of each month (subject to facility access) Location:  WB Rec Center | room 101 Purpose:   Teach new players, host gaming tables and share strategies and information The Game:  American Mahjongg, a complete club brochure is available at the WB Rec Center While there are several versions of Mahjongg, the group will play the American four player version. The tile set used for the American version includes 152 tiles plus eight jokers. It’s worth noting that the four player game is very different to the computer based Mahjong solitaire game. The club is open to all members of the Wells Branch community. Membership in the National Mah-Jongg League is NOT required and beginners are welcome.

Grab a spot at our July Movies in the Park hosted by Wells Branch MUD Parks and Recreation! Roll out the picnic blankets and gather the family to enjoy a night of the most entertaining hit movies with your neighbors. This month we'll be showing Wonka (PG13). The movie will start around sunset and is completely free to watch! Check back here for information on inclement weather closer to time of event. Synopsis: This fantasy musical film follows the story of Willy Wonka, the famous but eccentric chocolatier based on the character from Roald Dahl's novel. In particular, it emphasizes his rise to the top. The narrative traces his beginnings as a young adult who started as an employee selling chocolate in a store until he became driven to enter the chocolate industry eventually. This film acts as a prequel to the 1971 film adaptation of Dahl's novel.

Synopsis: Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all. This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. But as they get to know each other more, it is revealed that Branch was a member of the old popular boyband BroZone when he was younger. Not only that, but the group members are his real-life brothers to boot. However, when they disbanded, Branch never saw his boyband brothers again until his brother Floyd is kidnapped. Branch mobilizes his family for the rescue.

Wells Branch Drop-in Mahjongg Club Did you know there’s a new WB Community Club? Please welcome the WB Drop-In Mahjongg  club. The group just started in January of 2024. So far, we have had a couple of meetings and are very excited to see so much interest. The tile set used for the American version includes 152 tiles plus eight jokers. It’s worth noting that the four player game is very different to the computer based Mahjong solitaire game. The club is open to all members of the Wells Branch community. Membership in the National Mah-Jongg League is NOT required and beginners are welcome.
