The Wells Branch MUD Board is hosting a Town Hall Meeting for May 22 to present possible plans for the Disc Golf Course and receive residents input regarding same.  Join us for refreshments at 7pm in the Community Center on Klattenhoff and find out what the tentative plans are for proposed changes to the Disc Golf Course.

We have a winner! It’s Wells Branch! From 6 to 9 p.m., the MUD presents an adult only evening of gaming for our residents. This event is for residents 21 and up only and IDs will be checked at the door. Join us at 2106 Klattenhoff Dr. as the MUD transforms the Community Center into a casino using professional tables and dealers. Stick around following the gaming for more fun and the opportunity to “spend” your winnings on a variety of prizes.

Wells Branch MUD presents Movies in the Park at Katherine Fleischer Park. Admission is free. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy these free family events. Pre-movie activities start at 8 p.m. with the movies starting at twilight. Check the website for July & August dates and movies.

Your WB Garden Guild is looking forward to some fun summer events.  Saturday, June 16, we’ll be taking a trip.  Not that far - just over to the Boggy Creek Farm (www.boggycreekfarm.com) in East Austin to get some images and information from this established and productive garden. Community gardens like this are increasing in the area and across the nation as there is a resurgence of locally grown fruits and vegetables.

Fourth Fest in Wells Branch • WB Community Center & KF Park
Wells Branch is famous for its Fourth of July celebrations, and this year should be no different. The traditional parade begins at the Community Center at 10 a.m. on the Fourth. When the parade returns, there’ll be an afternoon of music, food and games in Katherine Fleischer Park, ending with fireworks above the Willow Bend Pool. Check back later for a complete schedule of activities and events.

WBNA Silent Auction @ Fourth Fest • WB Community Center • See YOU there!
The Silent Auction is WBNA's annual fundraiser that, when combined with your membership dues, pays for the Easter Egg Hunt, the National Night Out party in October, WBNA participation at Halloween, activities on Friday night at the Luminary Festival, the food at WBNA sponsored meetings and educational sessions and more.  In order for the auction to be a success, we need items to bid on!  If you have a business (or even if you don't) and would like to donate an item, gift certificate for a service or put together a themed basket, we want to hear from you! WB Garden Guild Salsa Fest • Time & Location to be announced • Check back here!
In July (Saturday the 21st), Jeff Latham has suggested we celebrate by having a Salsa Fest with gardeners showing off their fresh home grown tomatoes and chilies in their custom concoctions, (we may even give prizes) and that we spend time as a group planning next Fall, Winter and Spring sessions. With the increase in neighbors growing vegetables and fruits in Wells Branch, we need more input into what our sessions should be about to be helpful and move us forward.

Saturday, August 18, we’ll hold a workshop to build our check list of the things we need to do to prepare our Fall gardens, talk about ways to optimize production, and exchange what we’ve learned. We hope that those who don’t garden but are interested in learning about what’s going on in the ‘hood, will feel free to attend, and certainly those who want to begin a home garden. Just remember, nothing taste better than a home grown tomato. "
